Michèle Sandoz is a strategic advisor working at the intersection of institutional development, philanthropy and international collaboration. Through artmatters, she partners with museums, foundations, universities and cultural organisations to support leadership transitions, institutional development and long-term strategic growth.

With more than three decades of international experience, her work spans the art market, museums, higher education, nonprofit institutions and global philanthropy. Operating at board and advisory level, she offers strategic counsel, governance insight and discreet, long-term support. Her work bridges institutional, academic, market-facing and philanthropic contexts, connecting geographies, disciplines and leadership cultures.

Her current portfolio includes leadership and advisory roles with Zeitz MOCAA, the Koyo Kouoh Foundation, the University of Zurich and the Kwacakworo Artist Residency. She also serves on the Tate Africa Acquisitions Committee. Alongside these institutional commitments, she continues to engage closely with artists, curators and cultural practitioners, recognising that strong institutions are ultimately built in dialogue with the people they serve.
